WebI am curious as to what current research shows regarding why scraping noises such as fingernails on a chalkboard, a knife/fork scraping against a plate, metal grinding against metal or stone etc are so intolerable to humans. WebNails on a chalkboard is actually one of my strongest triggers, I get that tingle from the top of my head down to my lower back, it's amazing! ... Or fingernails scratching denim. I get the same feeling from scratching anything that has texture like a holographic baseball card.
